HONORABLE BILL GOODSON, FORMER MAYOR CITY OF WHITEWRIGHT, TEXAS

Th Honorable Mayor Bill Goodson has served the Grayson County Area and the City of Whitewright, Texas for nearly three decades. As a children's advocate and lover of people, Bill Goodson has served on approximately twenty plus boards and committees.

Bill is an avid community leader with many years of experience. He is a United States retired Sergeant Major veteran who served in both the Air Force and Army.

He holds degrees in business management, Pharmacology, and is a former master electrician and military communications specialist. He was a former sports journalist and radio host for KNOK-AM Dallas, a columnist for the Dallas Express, and the editor and founder of the Southwest Sporting News.

Bill Goodson is one of the original Atlanta Black Crackers in baseball and his short-lived professional sporting career led him to play for the Chicago Cubs just before being called into the United States Armed Forces.
